Ribbon will not fray if...

Yupe.. I've a little tips here.. share without any photo.. too bad :(
I use ribbons in my scrapbook projects and I always here people said you'll need to either wrap it around the corner of the photos or the page in order not to let it fray, or another way is to cut it slightly angled.
Well.. I have a little tips for having the ribbon and not fray, so you can actually cut it straight and just adhere it anywhere you want. You ready?
Here goes.. all you need to do is to burn it a little bit, or should I say melt it a little bit on the end by using lighter. Yupe, once the ribbon is melted, they will stick together and not fray.. that simple, try it.
Happy scrapbooking!

No photo can be uploaded again

I'm so sad.. I've done some pages and yet I can't show them here. My phone is not cooperating with me again. I've actually done a two page layout of Cal having his first flight to Sri Lanka years ago. I was even more worried than him. Afraid that he'll cry all along the journey, disturbing other passengers on board, run away from my sight.. etc.. just like a normal mom would worried over their kids on a long distance journey, if you know what I mean.
However, despite all these worries that I had in mind, we went through the flight in a bliss.. well.. not totally a bliss, but at least he didn't cry, at least he didn't complaint about air pressure in his ear, at least we made it through and landed in Sri Lanka safely. oh.. you might be asking why Sri Lanka. Well.. simply because hubby used to work there before and we went over to visit him.

As for last night, I've started scrap lift a layout from scrapbook.etc on paper piercing, will use this for the Itty Bitty Scrap Shack challenge for "Love of my life". I wanted so much to show them here, a preview maybe.. just too bad.. I hope the crazy phone is back to normal working mode again for me to upload my photo. I really need a new digicam.

Good news is, by Friday, I'll have the digicam with me again... yay!!

Have to run twice

My mistakes really.. I need to go back to the same place again today just because I thought they said they can get the specs ready by yesterday. To my mom, it is a matter of life and death (not really :D) situation since she is cleaning up the house for Chinese New Year, she needed her glasses badly. What happened was that since she went to the farm often and sweat a lot, her glasses actually look like being sand 'cos she rub them using her clothes! Can you imagine that? With the sweat that she has and the dust that stick to her shirt and yet she is using that to rub on her glasses, tyring to make it clear again? Oh well.. it didn't make it clearer but the other way round. Another thing is that since she wear her glasses to the farm, the sweat basically ruin the glasses faster than anyone of us who sits in the office with air-con. I'm not saying that you can rub your glasses with any clothes, that would really damage it. So her old glasses really in a bad condition, that's why she is getting a new one.
When I step in to the store.. I was eyeing for promotion or those with a reasonable price but I don't think it can be compared to this.. Zenni Optical: Sell Rx Glasses $8 with case! That is like RM26 for a pair of glasses! Even if it is only the frame, it would worth it already, where can you get in Kota Kinabalu?
The thing is, this Zenni optical provide or sell only their own manufactured frames directly to the customer! Which means they don't have middlemen. How great it that!? That's why the price is so low.
Well, anyway, I only found out today about Zenni and my mom already got her glasses proscribed on last Saturday. But she specifically stated that she doesn't want plastic frame cos she is afraid that they would touched on her chin and she'll be irritated by that. Something like this one: (I like this one actully.. 'cos I have glassed like this before :D)

Come to think of it, I don't think I have a photo that my mom is wearing her glasses 'cos she only does that when she is reading or really needed to see things clearly like watching her 6 o'clock Taiwanese series.
So scrap my mom in her glasses will be another project for me :D

Want to use these photos

I've just loaded some old photos from my phone to my PC, so I discovered some cute photos, although they are not so clear, but I love them and I haven't scrap about them yet, so maybe I'll use them for my next project.
As for my previous project that I've set out to do, i.e. to transfer all my Australian trip photos from the magnetic album to photo safe album, which I've just finished last night, double yay for that. Since I'm using Creative Memories album with black pages, I kind of limiting myself for using pattern paper as the background and also limiting myself to use too much of embellishment which will bulge the page, so that was a fast project to finish. Well.. I was kind of lazy too as I've already arrange that album in my magnetic before.. so nothing new. Will show some snapshot here in my future posting.
As for now.. let me show you those photos that I would really love to scrap.
Wish me luck

New opportunity

Well.. since I'm still consider myself a newbie in scrapbooking, I consider myself a newbie in blogging too, especially when coming down to talk about earning by blogging. I have no clue at all when I first started this blog. It was just out of fun and also to use it as a tool to remind myself about my daily life with my kids and hoping to improve as a mother, you know the kind that is loving enough not to spank them :D but I guess I'll still need to work on that.
Talking about earning by blogging, I just recently signed up with payperpost after finding it out from a an ex-colleague who had been very helpful in guiding me.

I'm already start dreaming on what will I do with all the money that I earn!! Yupe.. day dreaming now.. let me see.. first.. I'll get myself more scrapbooking things of course!! Secondly.. will get myself a spa or massage treatment .. well the list can go on.
Let's talk about what I want to get for my scrapbooking. What I'm lacking now is more papers, include cardstock and pattern papers, next is album, the next are the tools in cutting such as oval shape, paper puncher, paper trimmer, again the list can go on..

I'm already telling friends and family about blogging same like I'm telling them about scrapbooking and the fun that I'm having. I'm getting my niece to be interested in blogging just so that it can help her out in her study, ya.. study.. I mean, if she can earn by blogging, this would help her out in paying her school fees and in a way will improve her writing skills. At the same time, asking her help to introduce my site to her friends.
So, folks, get into the mood of scrapping and also blogging!

Scrapbook challenges

cScrapbooking challenges are fun. Before this, I thought to myself, well.. I'm not even a pro in doing scrapbooking yet.. why want to join in any challenges. When I first found out about what really are challenges in scrabook.etc magazine on my pool fun LO, to my surprise, I love it once I'm into it. It actually give me a guide on what I should use or do in my page in order to join in the fun.
Sometimes I just can't start a page without some limitation.. the creativity part is just too wide especially when coming down to choosing my pattern papers and the most basic one - Layout, what scrappers call LO. So if there is some guidelines or I call it limitation that set out in the challenge, it would help me to start thinking on that line, also start to be creative on that line too. The fun part is to share with others my work and get lots of comments from people. I did it in scrapbook.com, which is really a nice place to be with all those that having the same interest with me. Another site that I love to check out is ScrapScene which updated me with all the latest things that is happening in the scrapping world.
Just recently, Itty bitty Scrap Shack is holding a challenge on "Get in the mood for love!".

Got this from their site:
Here are the details: Create a layout (12x12 or 8 1/2 x 11) about the love(s) of your life. Maybe it's a person, maybe a place, animals, etc. Whatever you love, we want to see it! Send your entries to designteam@ittybittyscrapshack.com by February 1st. The winner will receive the February Itty Bitty Kit!
Tiffany

Ya.. go ahead and have some fun, I surely am joining this even it I can't .. I'm going to do this challenge for my LO.

The LO that my sister loves

I haven't got any photo of my son on his first day at school, the only one that I have so far is taken by my sister when Cal is over in her house after school. Where were I? Well... I went off to fetch my 2nd son from school and guess what.. during that time, they had a great time, I mean Cal and his cousin, they had shower fun! They can't do it in my mom's place 'cos we don't have a shower head, they always had a bath but we still call it shower anyway - one that without the head.
When Cal and Rod is having a good time in the shower room, obviously taking longer than they should with all those splash of water, my sis grab her digicam and snap them. Not many that she took though, her reason is she doesn't wanna take the whole body, and since the room is small, she'll have to use her untrained photo skills to take these gorgeous photos.
So, I've scrap it..
Love to see their expressions in these photos, really show how much they enjoy the shower. I wish my sis got more photos on this. Now it is being displayed in my scrap area, just feel that I should show it off and enjoy it first before I put it into my album.
This is actually done at the back of "3 rascals". So I can't poke any hole in this LO too, all embellishments are being attached with zots and glue.

Chinese new year is coming

Ya.. pretty soon, Chinese new year will be here.. the year of rat is coming.. another new year for us Chinese... and I still haven't shop for clothes for my boys.. oh dear.. wish I can do it online using any online shop which offer fast delivery service maybe plus with a trustworthy shopping cart system and is hassle free.
Sometimes I wish I can just like "Bewitch", with the twist of my nose and I get everything in hand, including nicely matched clothes for myself.
Well.. at least one thing I've done to welcoming the new year.. got my hair permed, well.. not like Gabriella in High School Musical that I talked about in my other blog, but as "si lai" as my hubby puts it.
Coming back about this shopping things.. hmm.. how I wish.. I have a butler to do all those choosing things, provided he/she really knows what I want ;)
For those of you who is doing online business, try out ashop.com.au to get a trustworthy online cart to get more clients first.. and let me know.. so I can visit your online store one day.. have a butler service even better...

Promise LO

Have been drag on to this this LO too. It is a promise that I've made for Cal, well.. it happens that one day he said to me that I don't love him, that is after I've punished him for doing something wrong... it strucks me and it hurts me too.. so I've been asking myself "am I really that bad as a mom?"
So here.. this is for Cal.

Pattern paper is from Dream Street Papers, flowers from Prima, photo corner from Heidi Swapp, brads from Hot off the press, alphabets from Basic Grey.
Initially I wasn't sure what embellishment to put on this page. The first flower is the one on the bottom right corner of the photo and it is right at the end of the swirl. After I done that one, I figure maybe I can put flowers on all the swirl's end, so I did. I've use a little heart brad from Queen & Co. too.
The journalling:
Cal, One day when you were only over 4 years old, you have been told not to do certain things but you still carry on, thus I’ve spank your hand and punished you to stand on the corner, suddenly out of nowhere and out of my expectation you said: ”You don’t love me… you really don’t love your child!”
It really hurts me and hurt me deep. It made me ponder if I have done anything wrong in the way in disciplining you, if I haven’t been hugging you more enough, if I haven’t been giving you enough attention everyday, if there is anyone that have been telling you some dreadful lie about me.
Later I start telling you how I love you, why I discipline you and find out why you don’t listen to me. Every night before sleeping, I gave you a big hug and you always demand me to whisper something on your ear like "Be a good boy, don’t be naughty, don’t push your little brother..” Then only you are satisfied and fall into your dreamland.
I may not be a perfect mom to you, but all I want to tell you is: “I do love you, you are still my precious one and I promise that I’ll love you all through my life.”Mummy, Dec 2007

split.. shall I?

I'm moving.. emm.. not exactly.. I should say I'm splitting.. emm.. is this the right word? I mean I'm having another blog .. splitting from this one, so that this will entirely be my scrapbooking blog.. probably not entirely.. probably the mix of two ... but this blog has been more about scrapbooking than about life.. about reminding myself how gladeful I should be with my life.. having 2 boys.. having a family and friends.. but then again.. scrapbooking is doing that too. When I scrap, I constantly reminded about how gladful I am on my life, on my daily living.
However.. above all these, I still think I should have a blog entirely talking about scrapbooking. Maybe I'll just start another blog now.. and decide later, see how it turns out later.. what do you think? Shall I?

Sweet 16

Did a page that has been long overdue.. well.. no due date actually.. but the photos have sat in my closet for a month after I've crop them. They are my niece's 16th birthday pictures. She keep on complaining that she doesn't like those photos and said that they are so ugly (I hope she doesn't mean herself, 'cos she is lack of confident on her look), well.. to me, they are precious, 'cos you'll never get a 2nd sweet 16 again, so no matter how bad the photos have been taken, they are still part of the memory.
I've used lots of different flowers for this page, I thought to myself since I may not have lots of other chances to use those flowers that I bought from Prima, they are in black, grey and white. I've used flower from Heidi and mini flower brads from Making Memories. Love to use all those pretty flower and they are pretty easy to lighten up a plain page.
Another thought was that I'm thinking to submit this page for the "We love flower" challenge in srapbook.com. Will see if I can make another page that I like more.
I didn't poke any hole in this page too, I used zots to adhere all flowers which already got brads on.
Since the page colour is greyish, I tried something new, I used white gel pen to do the journalling, but it still doesn't pop up.. so I've to layer my writing. I've cut up some pattern paper and stick up as the line for my journalling. Got this idea from one of the challenge in scrapbook magazine.
Since I don't wanna poke any hole in the paper, so using flower embellishment is a good way to hide away the zot and it secure my ribbon even more.
So here it is.. happy belated birthday, Qin..
Photo shooting technique of this page is not so right 'cos the page tilted.. I miss the digicam

I'm curious...

I'm curious.. I get email about gambling online, about online casino.. but do people really gamble online? I mean how? Can you just flee like that if you loose? Would they be able to track you down? Would they be able to get the police to catch you if you flee? hmm... there is this casino site, pro360, which not only offer online gambling, they even listed out all the other sites that you can go! OMG.. there are so many of them. It got me thinking, what if the credit card fraud group gamble there? haha..

More LO

Done a page last nite from a photo taken just last weekend in my in-law's. Photo taken by my sis-in-law who were trying out her digicam.

This LO is inspired by a member in Two Peas.
I've used all American Craft paper again.. and also Apricot Bazzil Cardstock bought from SoCalScrap, those that were offer :D (USD.44 each)
I just love those American Craft papers that I bought from TwoPeas. The stars are just very nice to make boy's page. Oh and the vinyl too.. they are just so fun to just stick up as title.

I haven't pun any journaling in yet.. Just don't wanna spoil the page with wrong words..

My Scraproom

This morning my handphone is coordinating with me, it lets me upload photos into my PC.. buoy it was so hard to get it work huh... I wonder what is wrong with it..
anyway, I just wanna show some pictures of the scraproom that I have been talking about. Don't expect very nice picture with nice decoration of the whole room, it is just a table that I'm working on, so basically nothing much to show.. but I'm excited cos I can treat that room as my own scraproom!! :D
Just remember, it is a very old house (more than 30 year), so don't expect to see cement wall here.. :D

You can see my Creative Memories cutter (the blue one) and also CM's album which is being open up. The other colourful album is my magnetic album which I need to pull out all the photos from. I kept all my ribbons inside the little food container stack up at the back there. Maybe I'll move my ribbons into a box later..
Here is another photo showing the little box that I got from Signature which is meant for putting medicine, I've used it to put all my little brads.

What is not showing here are those papers that I've, not many so far, not even an inch thick. Another things is the cutting made (covered by the CM album).
Those are my little things that I'm having now.. hope to build up the collection especially stamps.

Online Shopping

I think I'm addicted to online shopping. I like to see what is in my cart, calculated it before I check out and checking back with my credit card to see if they have charged and then waiting for it to come in my mail box.
I like browsing using my PC especially when the connection is fast, I save the hassle of queuing in line when doing payment, I save the hassle of asking about things that I want, I just need to do a quick search in the site concern and wuala!
Remember I've mentioned that I got special offer to be the first online customer of a shop in Brunei? (posted in Dec 2007) I paid through TT and it actually cost a lot for doing, the bank charge RM25 just because it is a foreign bank account!
Yupe, the site that I went to doesn't accept credit card for payment on their website so it actually shows down the payment process and also choosing process when I'm shopping, however, mainly it is because their site is not meant for online shopping. So, how nice if they have a Merchant account with this company call A + merchant services who is a provider of merchant account and also provide Visa & MasterCard payment solutions.
Other than that, I would look for sites that are secure which doesn't provide my personal information to any other people.
Well... let me see what is in my cart now...

Only 3 to 4 hours a day

That is how much time I have each day with my kids. Let's see.. in the morning I need to get them ready to school, after getting them up from bed, brushing, eating, changing and up into the car.. that is within an hour job, no time to realy look at them and say I love them sometimes.. how sad. Maybe I should make it a point and habit to hug them and tell them I love them every morning. Then I'm off to work, 9 hours gone without them. Then when I got home, I'll need to make sure one of them do their homework, another one take his dinner and then bath, then story time, then off to sleep. That only give me less than 4 hours. I only quiet time which is not so quiet with them cos they always got lots of questions to ask during story time, and after that is lots of request before bed time.
So, out from the 24 hours, I only got maybe up to 4 hours with my kids.. I wish I can have more, but I wish those hours are quality one instead of keep on pushing them to do this and that...

Again back to square one

Why? Because my phone is not working again. I mean I can't get it connected to my PC to upload photos, again! What the heck! I can do that yesterday, that's why I've gone home happily snapping away photos with it thinking that I can share it here, but now it is all back to square one, I'll still have to wait for my digital camera to come back during CNY :((

Guess what I found?

Ya.. can u imagine that I get a very old insurance cover note in my late-grandpa's drawer last Saturday when I was clearing up his room.. I wanted to have a scrap-room space for myself, so what I can do is to convert that room into one that I can work with without the mosquito disturbing me. While I run through those left over things that my Aunts didn't throw away, I found a cover note dated back to 1971! Sum assured, RM5K. I'm sure at that time, it was a very big amount and I thought to myself.. wow.. grandpa was really modern, 'cos at those time, there weren't many that would buy insurance or even know about insurance . And the nominee was my late grandma. It wasn't the kind of cover note we see now a days, it is folded up into a long slip of maybe 10"x4". I was also surprise to find that it was in English... now.. my grandpa doesn't know English, so who could be the one who introduce insurance to him? I think that will be the mystery for my life.
During those time, not only that my grandpa doesn't know how to read English, there wasn't even computer available for him. Now we can just go online to get our insurance quotes and get ourselves an online insurance policy! I know one that offer such a service: Advantage term life.
Another mystery for me (maybe will solve it later) is that it is a life insurance that my grandpa bought.. so who could be the one who have claimed it?
Talking about insurance, I myself got my first one 'cos I'm fed up with the insurance agent who was so persistent for me to get a life insurance from her, and I didn't regret it and am glad that she persisted that time. I think we all need at least one life insurance just so that when we passed away, our love ones won't need to worry about funeral money .. ya.. I know.. some people doesn't like to talk about this. But what about properties, you'll definitely need insurance cover for that.. just imagine if you are half way paying the property and something happen, if you don't have insurance cover for it.. non of ur love ones get to inherit that property that you might have been paying for over 20 years!

My phone's camera

Yay! I finally can show some photos here by using my hand phone. After I've been using the digital camera, I've totally forgotten that my phone also got that function. So here it goes.
I've taken some photos of my newly made scrapbooking pages and hoping that my phone has no problem in connecting to my PC.
I've done two pages which used old photos of the two boys.

Ribbon is from Paperwishes monthly kit. The tags embellishment are also from paperwishes.

When doing this page, I just wanted the pattern paper to point at the photo that I like most, that's why I position it this way, and since I've got my corner rounder which can do scallop edges, so I used it and also later punched holes using the eyelet setter set from making memories.

The photos shown here are actually years ago when Cal's cousin came back for a visit during Chinese New Year. That two boys actually weren't talking in the same language, one in Mandarin and the other in Cantonese, yet they play together with no problem at all!

Another page which I just did it last Sunday. When I look at the photo at first, I only saw the ugly things in the picture, that bathroom, so old and look so dirty. So I've been keeping this photo for quite some times, not sure that if I'll really scrap it. But now, it is different, I saw his lighted up face who really enjoyed his bath that time, so doesn't matter where or how old the place is, kids' joy are just pure and simple.

The wording is actually vinyl from American Craft. Love it cos it is a bit thick but not so. The star is from pattern paper also from American Craft. All the other papers are brought from two peas shop.

Due to skills or pay?

Ever wonder why we always have to hire foreigners to work in our construction sites? Ya..I always see non-Malaysian in the construction site, is it because of the pay or is it because of the skills? I wonder... The first fly-over in KK involved some Chinese form China to do the construction too, am I save to say that is due to skills? I still wonder. Actually construction workers need a lot of professional skills in handling heavy machinery down to painting. I'm including renovation too. When I was in Hong Kong, I saw the workmanship of the renovation in my sis' house, and it was awesome, they go down to detail. I can see straight lines of paint in between the wall and ceiling, instead of a blurry line or a not so straight one over here. I saw workers hanging on the wall to put up tiles in one of the building next to ours in Shen Zhen, and that worker is a lady! I don't see it here. As for constructing a high raised (about 20 floors) building, they can finished and open it in a year time. I wonder if we have that many skillful workers here.
I'm not sure how you can get qualify as a skilled construction workers though. There is this site that offer training and get you certified by 2010 in the related field, give you details of safety and also employment training. It is both useful for employer and whoever interested in getting certified in construction industry. How I wish we have such a site in Malaysia too.
Now I can safe suppose that once you've got the right skills, your pay will then be increase according to that, am I right?

Donut for lunch?

It got me thinking if I really should go for it, cos donuts are normally sweet things and after I've tried that Dunkin' Donut in HKIA, I told myself never again that I'm going to order that sort of donuts again, cos they were too sweet for my teeth and it is consider expensive too. But than after much good comments from friends and colleagues about Big apple donuts and coffee, I've decided to give it a try. Of course the major concern is if my kids will love it. I'm glad that they serve not only sweet ones but they also serve topping with chicken-fross which Cal loves. Orait.. then I should really give it a try.
And we did, Cal almost finished 2 donut with chicken-fross topping and one with strawberry topping. As for Mer, he was too exhausted after the swimming lesson. That's why we ended up in the area which couch that I can lay Mer there. Cosy little guy didn't even wake up with those noise around him.
Ya.. go for it if you wanna try not so sweet donut, but I warn you, don't put sugar into your drinks if you order mocha, it was way too sweet after the sugar I even ask for them to add hot water :p
However if you wanna make that solely your lunch, better not.. well.. not my type of lunch.. I still prefer something more solid, donut can be for tea.
Price wise, a box of 12 is RM22, a box of 6 is RM12. What I don't understand is why they charge 2 boxes of 6 for RM24 and not RM22, what if I just wanna finished 6 and bring away another 6?
Another thing is, we were surprise to find that there have 3 outlets just in Sabah itself! Hmmm.. now I wonder if I can get any commercial fees from them since I'm writing about them here.

caught in the act

"Mommy...! Is that you? What are you doing? Are you doing your "page"?"
Calvin asked when he heard noise and maybe saw the light shine through from the room next door when he is suppose to be sleeping last nite. Ya.. he caught me doing that, 'cos I told him I'll be back to watch over him and will be in bed pretty soon together with him, just so that he went to sleep feeling mommy is around. But somehow this little boy of mine isn't falling asleep yet at 10 ish.. ya.. he hasn't sleep yet.. and he needs to go to school the next day and I was thinking that I can start my scrapbooking already.
Oh well.. I guess I'll have to stay there in the room with him till he is asleep.
Yupe.. I always do that, wait till the boys are sleeping then start my scrapbooking thing in the kitchen table. Sometimes during the weekend, I just can't wait anymore and I got all my things out, hoping that they are busy playing. But they always ended up in the kitchen table or the outside table beside me, poking this and that, going through my stuff in the box, asking about this and that, got excited in seeing themselves in my album and Calvin being demanding that I do those photos with him inside.
So last nite I thought to myself, I hope Calvin will be just like mommy who like scrapbooking, who loves arts and be creative in his life.

Rottan or not?

I subscribe to baby center ever since my 1st pregnancy, until now I still get their newsletter updated and reminded me on how old my kids are, how they would behave and how I can discipline them. It helps especially on my first child as I don't know what to expect as a preggy and a soon mother-to-be, so it is nice to get their insights of things about my pregnancy and what help I would be needed.
Now since my kids are no longer fetus inside me and babies, I get news about their growing up years and I got this recently about my 29th months old: "Children this age love projects, but their interests run more toward creating than cleaning up. Try one of these tricks: If he's done with a puzzle, help him break the pieces up as part of the game. Or if he's in training to be the next Monet, show him that putting his crayons back in the art box is part of being an artist. And don't forget to praise his efforts at being tidy — a little positive reinforcement goes a long way."
A good tips huh.. come to think of it, I didn't try that out.. but instead I use "rattan" to threaten them and I got result fast, it is always useful and effective especially if I'm in a hurry or no mood to "play along" with them. But then I'm not sure if I've put a negative influence on them, like telling them spanking is right when you want people to listen to you, or in their case, it might be hitting is right when you want to get result.
I suppose I do really need to think twice before getting out my "rattan" next time... ya.. i know it is hard not to use the easy way..

Scrapping again

Yay! I've started using my Creative Memories album with all the black refill pages that I've bought from Sandra, plus the free gift that I got from her (pack of pattern papers with mating papers) It is actually a bliss if I don't need to think about embellishment which CM doesn't encourage as they will bulge the page and also tend the photos. But.. hehe.. I still use them.. OK, a bit only la.. oh well.. I used la.. like silk flowers, brads and ribbons. I just can't do without them in my page, they seems so plain and empty to me, so I gotta get ready my eyelet setter, hole puncher, zots and craft knife.

Initially I was regretting in getting all black pages instead of the normal or white pages.. but it turns out that I just love them.. black let my photos pop out even more.. just as long as my photos are not too dark, even if that is it, I can always use some colourful pattern paper or matting paper behind. I also start cutting out holes right behind the photos mating area to save some papers for pattern that I might just be doing later on.

I wish I can show u some photos here.. well.. unfortunately I don't have my digital camera now.. :((

I'm so happy that I'm able to start transferring my Australian trip photos from magnetic album to CM's album, and yet this sister of mine still questioning on why I should do that even though I've answered her questions several times, and yet she's still pity over those magnetic album. OK, you can keep them if you want, but don't say I didn't warn you what sort of damaging effect they'll do to your photos.

Retirement plan

I'm already been thinking about my retirement plan although I'm not yet 40. Well, an early plan is better than a no plan scheme 'cos retire early is really my hope. That means I'll need to be financially free, i.e. no dept and can support myself when I'm not on a daily job. I don't rule out part-time or working on my own.. but to really retire, I would think of no need to work but just to enjoy life, it doesn't matter if I have to work out my budget or to cut down on buying things so that I don't need to work and still can survive, with a house to stay in, with a hobby to cling onto, with love ones that care for me (not hoping financially though), and of course with my children or friends that I can go out with.

Retirement plan in financial term might not be a problem for most people, but the caring part might be. As we grow older, we might be facing with mobility problem, health problem and of course financial crisis will come along if we fall sick or need extra care. A care home might be a good option then. A place whereby you have the right kind of people taking care of you, once in awhile check up on you, giving you advice on your daily life, giving you suggestion on dealing with things and even providing a space for you to connect with others that are in the same situation with you. As we all know, being old also means being lonely sometimes.. so care do needed. Our love ones might be busy away with their daily routine and sometime might neglect us.. so it would be good to know of some place that you can connect to at that time. Bettercaring is one site that provide all these professional assistance and it would be good if we can have something like this in Malaysia.

I hope my retirement is a joyful one and I will still be doing my scrapbooking..

Back to new and the routine

Yupe, got back and started to work. Got to send the two boys to school, surprisingly today, they didn't cry, no show of separation anxiety.. probably later.. this mother is nuts, who in the world would hope that their kids will cry on first day at school? But.. hey, that show how much they miss their mommy ma.. anyway, it is also a good thing, it shows that they know how to control their emotion..

About the photos.. I guess I won't be able to show any photo from now on till Chinese New Year, cos that is when hubby is getting home and that is when he can bring back the camera that I left in China.. [double :(( from me.. ]
Yes, that is really the dumbest thing that I did, how could I have forgotten my camera!! All the photos are there.. all those that I wanted to use in my scrapbook, for my Christmas pages, my Disney pages, my travel pages, my daily pages.. OMG!! I HAVE FORGOTTEN MY CAMERA! Yes, those were the first things that I thought of when I discovered that the camera is not in my bag. It get worst when hubby called saying that he can't find the camera at home, which means.. OH NO!!! I can't even scrap them? I haven't even develop them! I can't show to my friends? What if people use my photos to do silly thing? what if...?
I'm ok in loosing the camera, I can buy a new one, but the photos?!? Loosing them is like loosing some of my memory.. those one in a million photo shot that I've got, those never gonna have it again moment?
Then when I call hubby again, he said he found it in his wind breaker.. buoy am I glad, but I was mad with him, cos that really given me some head-ache and heart-ache.
Fui, u better think of something to compensate those cells that died in me..

Happy New Year!

Just got back from Hong Kong Disneyland. Yupe, been there, done that and loved it. Hoping to go back again someday after they have new "land" being built up.
Thought we've been there, but we didn't spend counting down there, instead we are back in China and me and hubby didn't really do our count down. The boys are flat and need to put them to bed soonest when we arrived, and I had my late nite shower after that, can u imagine, whole day in the same clothes without shower.. buoy.. that was a nicest shower I ever had. Oh and the boys.. well.. Cal can sleep standing in the MTR, that's how tired he got after the whole day visiting the zebra, darzan, elephants, hippo, Mickey, Donald, Santa, and oh the parade and snow.
Sorry.. no photos for now, will do that once I have them. At the mean time, it is bed time for me.. I'll get panda eyes in the morning, that is definite.
