Just want to share this card that I've made for a friend who needed that to give to a practical student who had been very helpful during her stay with the company.
Am using paper from one of the Scrapbook Daisy's kit and Studio Calico.
Happy scrapping!

LOTW
Yippiee!!! My layout was being selected as the Layout of the week over at Scrapbook Daisies, check it out here. The layout is being inspired by the sketch here.
Here is the layout that has been chosen as LOTW:
I've used the Echo Park kit from Scrapbook Daisies which is filled with colorful PP and cute stickers. Everything is from that kit except the two little birds which is from a previous kit.
Here is a close-up of those cute pin wheels:

Shutterfly Giveaway: Holiday Cards
I have heard of Shutterfly and seen its advertisement in Scrapbook magazine and had since noticed Ali Edwards mentioned about it and even seen her Shutterfly book of Daily You.
Shutterfly is not only about Photo Book, you can also custom made your Christmas Photo Cards, holiday photo cards, Halloween photo cards, Thank You Cards and even party invitations or Birthday Invitations. Isn't it great?
All you need to do is to upload your favorite photos, choose a design that you like and you've cards that is custom designed for you. You can even get them to post it for you, if however you don't want them to send over to you! It save up all that hassles in making them and posting them. It also making sure that your friends and family get your greeting cards on time, but make sure you do that earlier.
Shutterfly is doing a promotion right now that they will email me promo code and I can use them for a give-away. Please note: "each code is for 10 free 5x7 flat stationery cards! Offer ends 12/31/2010. Please note, only 1 set of 10 cards is redeemable per Shutterfly account."
How to enter for the give-away? Just leave a comments here by telling me if you've started preparing for the Christmas or simply comments on anything at all.
Happy weekend!
Edited: So sorry.. I forgot to mention till when is this give-away, right? Bummer.
Okay, here is how it goes, I'll have this post open for comments till end of October and draw a winner on 1 of November. Any question, please contact me at fonmee at gmail dot com.

Why don't we all try it out?
I'm not sure what will happen to this 'cos I've seen that my member list gone from zero to 40 over just within an hour.
I got this email from a total stranger, that's why I said I'm not sure what will happened, but I'm seeing that people around the world is joining the network.
Try to understand it yourself here.
If really, it is just a scam, well, at least now I'm not paying anything to be a member. So think there is no harm joining in.
Maybe you all will join me? And we'll see what will happen next.

Palette #23
I did a layout using the sketch for Color Room Palette #23 instead of the colors:
Found this photo of little Mervin when he was just about 4 months old in an album that my FIL was keeping. So I quickly grab it back and scrap this photo. Miss those chubby cheeks and toothless smile.
Everything is from the Basic Grey page kit except the doilies. I did some fuzzy cutting from the PP and came up with the embellishment:
I've used some glitter stickles on the flowers and glitter pen on the pedals.
Happy scrapping!

PageMaps Sketch Challenge
Yes, I love sketches from PageMaps, it always look so neat and filled with details. Sometimes include things that I would normally won't do on my page, such as stitching for this sketch. I came up with this:

And yes, I did sew those borders on. First line on the right was sew on by machine but after, the sewing machine gave up on me and just won't stitch, so I had to hand sew the rest on. This is also trigger my son's love in doing what I do and made this card which I've posted in my other blog.
Well.. other that it was a bit tedious to do all those stitches by hand, it turns out not bad. I had to doodle on those butterflies to make them pop a bit.
So, what are you waiting for? Join in the PageMaps sketch challenge, and you might even win the RAK above.
Well, that's it for today. Have fun on your Sunday night!

With Scrap-a-little
First off I wanted to talk about the layout that I did for ScrapStreet using Helen's sketch number 16.
Here are a close-up of those hand-made flowers using doilies:
I even used one big doilies for the background embellishment:
Yupe, this is my father-in-law, one who is soft-spoken and well, a bit too skinny:
I'm using Basic Grey Kioshi paper which is mostly in purple color. I'm not a big fan of purple, that's why I seldom use purple in my layout. Purple in itself is pretty, but it is hard for me to scrap using purple color. But I think this layout turn out okay.
Next is about the layout using Helen's September sketch, one that to me is very easy to work with:
I've ink those letter sticker with white ink to match with my layout and have stamp swirls on the cardstock to add a bit of interest:
I just love Martha Stewart's butterfly punch, can't get enough of it and yes, I'm not tire of it yet, hee..
Distressing, distressing, lots and lots of distressing for this layout.
Here is the whole layout:
I'm using Basic Grey Max and Whisker's paper for this layout.
Both pattern paper is available in Scrapbook Daisy. And do use Helen's sketch to join in the challenge for the month.
Check them out!
