Mid-autumn festival

These photos in the layout has been there in my room since early October and only get to scrap them after seeing Helen's sketch and a challenge over Scrapbook Challenges about holiday, which reminds me of the mid-autumn festivity that we had, though it is not a holiday over here.

Mid-autumn festival is being celebrated on the 15th day on the 8th lunar month, where the moon is roundest. Does that found punched out looks like a full moon to you?

Mid-autumn (Zhong Qiu) is meant for the family reunion / gathering, and children would go around with lantern. Which my kids love!

I've actually put some glitters underneath the buttons and that thin strip of paper is actually the left over pattern paper from border punching. And since the background is dark and I want my journal to come out, I used acrylic paint for the base.

Thanks for stopping by peeps.

Product used: Bo Bunny Flutter Butter PP and buttons; Bazzill Basic edge cardstock, American Craft letter stickers; some glitters, circle and scallop punches, and Tim Holtz distress ink.

Your creativity is inspiring, which is why I wanted to share something with you that I think is right up your alley.

I listened to this great radio program on Monday that featured Mommy Millionaire Kim Lavine. She was interviewed on Conversations Live with Vicki St.Clair and had some great ideas for making extra money, whether you're currently unemployed, want to start your own biz, or already working as an entrepreneur!

Kim wrote THE MOMMY MANIFESTO based on her business smarts and said her single biggest success factor was having the nerve to “go for it.” If you'd like to hear more for yourself you can tune into a free podcast here at any time:

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
