Project 365

Day 57/58
[no photo]
Feb 26/27: Tonight Mer slept with big yi-yi for the first time after he said he prefer yi-yi over mommy 'cos mommy spank him (:p). So he did, but till just past mid-night, he went back to sleep with me half awake. *LOL*

Day 56Feb 25: This is how my sweet little looks like in the car on our way home. I find that he is always being sweet in the car when he is having a good mood, especially this one after he was given a lollipop on his request.

Cards from sketches

Did these two cards from sketches provided online over at Creative Scrappers and Scrapbook deals 4u. It is much easier to do the card if there is a sketch to follow. For the first card, I've used all things from Color Me Daisy February kit plus one PP from HOTP. The 2nd card used their January kit plus MM paper pack bought from Scrap-n-Crop. Definitely going to send these cards out.

There is a site that offer really good and clear sketches: check out Sketch Maps. Sketch Maps even come out with a book that filled with all the sketches! Now.. hmm.. who would give me that?

Day 55
[no photo]
24 Feb: Nope, no photo for today. The day gone by like usual. I am in the internal audit team at work, don't enjoy it except with the free food.

Day 54
23 Feb: Went to City Mall with little Mer on our way home 'cos he requested to buy candy. Then I found my favorite in a store nearby - something fresh with yogurt! Yummy.. but later discovered that I shouldn't have put hazel nut in there 'cos it causes my allergy later the night with itches around my mouse.

Some great sites

Phew.. I'm discovering more and more new sites about scrapbooking, stores and online challenges sites! Can I really take these all in? There are so much going on. There are weekly challenges which shown very interesting layout and sketches, or scheme.

These are a few sites that I discovered today by some other people's references:

Creative Scrappers
Dream girls challenge site
Beary Box
Your scrap stash
Scrap schemes

All these sites offer either of these: gallery, shop, forum with challenges, blog with updates. Need to keep this list with me in case I forgot, or probably I'll put them up on my site bar.

Lantern

Did a lantern by corrugated board last night with the instructions from Scrappin Kids' online tutorial. Absolutely thankful for that, else I won't have learn how to do the lantern show below. I don't like the cutting part though 'cos I'm using raw corrugated board from a big box and it is thick! I love the embellishment part where I get to decorate it as how I like. I've used part of the kits from ColorMeDaisy for this.

This is how it looks like when hang up:
I've only used 4 photos for this project, two of them which I wasn't sure where to put in my album and two are newly taken during Chinese New Year. I think I'm going to use the picture above again for a layout, will see.

Didn't use much embellishment on this project. I've just used up 2 pattern paper, some rub-on, some transparent tag from HOTP, flowers from Prima, eyelet from Making Memories and ribbon from Stamper corner.

Day 53
[no photo]
22 Feb. (Sun): As usual, a fun day for the boys as the cousins came over for the evening. I've baked cake from ready mix flour. Going to do that again by steaming it instead of baking.

Day 52
21 Feb. (Sat): A day filled with celebration. It was yesterday for Ruchelle's birthday, but we celebrated it today in sis' house. Ruchelle only invited a few of her friends includes her classmates, over to her house. One thing for sure, she wasn't sure how to entertainment her friends as they are so many, according to her. The boys enjoyed the cupcake and games but it was a tiring day for them. Went to have dinner with my family over in Tai Tong Restaurant, then headed off to in-laws' place.

Project 365

I some how lost count of the day and also get messed up with the real date, so I'm recording both right now.

Day 51
20th Feb.: The boys combed their own hair with gel today. A fun thing for them to do and also a way to get Mer to get changed and get to school.

Day 50
19th Feb: Went to Sutera Harbor to check out their Social membership, brought Mer together. He can't sit still and wanted to have a walk around the jetty. Met Danny (an old friend from university) and Dr. F there. Didn't thought I was going to have a good time there but I did. It was ok.

Day 49
18th Feb.: Actually forgot what special things happened today.

Day 48
Today Cal went to have his teeth filled. He has been complaining about toothache ever since Chinese New Year. Big sis is bringing him to the dentist. He was brave and very interested on what the doctor did to his teeth. A new kind of experience for him, too bad that I wasn't around to take picture.

Day 47
The day started with tantrum from Mer for not wanting to go to school. So he ends up wearing his usual clothes instead of his school uniform. Just the usual Monday blue.

Day 46
We went to City Mall to grab some free goodies from Nestle. Got ourselves some ice-cream tubs and coco crunch.

Day 45
Valentine's Day. Spent most of the lunch hours in 1Borneo just window shopping while PQ went to meet with her bf for Valentine's Day and a movie. The boys had been playing with my camera, this photo was taken by Mer. Later that evening, we had curry fish head in Krishna for dinner before dropping by in-law's home.

Years ago..

Can't believe what I found last night, something that I've totally forgotten about, something that I did during my senior high school years on Art Club, something that needed patient.

Yupe, I did those. Wonder if I'm able to do that again with my craft knife.

Projects on hand

I have Disney's photos that are way overdue that are still in the normal album got from photo processing shop. I'm putting that into my to-do-list.

I've this 8"x8" album sent from Coconut Scrapshop last year. I wanted to finish putting up all the photos by using the "40 photos in 4 hours" way that I've tried before. But this time is with a bigger album and maybe I'll be using more PP and cardstock as I can't just cut 4 out from a 12"x12" paper for this. I still have lots of PP from Hot off the press personal shopper kit, I hope to use those and not needed to buy in any new PP or cardstock for this project. Wanted to finish the project with the least money spent.

I'm also having another thing that I wanted to finish it quick - curtains for my room and my brother's room. They are all worn out and dirty. I've started sewing last night and managed to finished the curtains edges. I'm so going to finish them tonight *grin*. I even snap a photo last night before getting to bed and wanted to put this into my Project 365.

Day 41
Journal: Project on hand that I wanted to do - new curtains for my room and John's room. Bought the material from Jackel silk house, new in Alamesra. Managed to sew two pieces last night with sis' sewing machine. Hope to finish it fast and see them hangs in the rooms.

I still have 2 cards in hand that I haven't post out for Valentine's day, blind me.. it would be too late by then.. but still, I'll try to mail them out tomorrow.

Project 365

Day 39

Celebrating the last day of Chinese New Year early. Uncle Kiun & wife, Uncle Kong and family, Ms Chiam & family were all there last night to have dinner with us. Opened up 3 tables during dinner. Later followed by "Jin la mi" game, fireworks and firecracker too! Definitely fun night for the kids.

Day 38
No photo taken. But we have been to try out the golf session in Likas, Cal absolutely love it. But I've decided not to enroll as member 'cos I might not be able to bring him there.

Day 37
Brought Mer to City Mall, he was so excited with it and sure enough got his Vitagen.

Layouts

I love the Color Me Daisy January kit! I didn't know that I can do these three layouts from it, but of course plus some other stuff from the previous kits and also from my stash. It has Pink Paislee Sweet Cake collection of pattern paper, letter sticker and die-cut paper plus My Mind's eyes pattern paper.

First one: What I love to see.. the two of you holding hands so dearly walking together.
My two boys while we were in Hong Kong.

Other than the January kit, I've used a Maya Road chipboard butterfly.

The 2nd one is one about my little nephew from my hubby's site. He is darn cute, I love it especially when he smile back at me, almost all the time!
To this layout, I've use the January kit plus Bazzill Basic just the edge, American craft foam letter thicker, Maya road chipboard butterfly, Screen print swirl frame and a blue Prima flower.

The 3rd one is one that I wanted to keep a record of - Family tradition. These was taken while my boys was watching how the Chinese cake is being done by my parents. Again, I've used things from the kit plus some other letter stickers, flowers and swirl stamp.

I also did 3 cards, but not going to show them here though.. just in case the person is looking for I'm going to send them out *grin*.

Project 365

Day 36
I was working night shift and let Mer follow me to the office, so he ended up playing with some games on the public PC. At the end of the day, he doesn't want to leave and request to go back there again.

Project 365

Now I've Day 33 and 35 without photo. I wonder how shall I deal with it.

Even for today, I still havent' got a photo for it yet.

Cards to say hello and for V Day

Here are two cards that I've made using the same sketch and I've made some alteration on the placement of the pattern paper.

First is a card for V Day which is exactly how the sketch look like over in SoCalScrap February cards sketch challenge.

I'm entering the one below into the challenge, though it has been altered a bit. I hope these two cards can be sent ASAP just in time for V Day.

Product used: American craft PP and ribbon, Imaginisce PP, Bazzill Basic cardstock and just the edge, letter stamp from HOTP, felt heart from Queen & Co., the overlay frame from Pamela from winning her sketch challenge last year.

I found that it is easy to make cards when there is a sketch available and also some left over from my stash of PP, and I still love my fiskar border punch.

Card and layout

It was a special day yesterday, it was Archilles 1st birthday. Archilles is one brave boy that is being love more than anyone else I suppose even though his father is already in heaven. I've made a colorful card for him yesterday plus ang pow. Not sure if he'll enjoy it but hopefully Archilles mom like it *wink*.

As for late last night after the birthday dinner, I managed to do a layout about Cal on how brave he is. He is not afraid of bugs, not like the mother *grin*.

I've used the Kelly Pinacci's PP which I've bought long time ago, should be around 2007. I think it goes nicely in this layout.

Product used: PP from Kelly Pinacci, stamps from Maya Road and Making Memories, chipboard stickers, ribbon and some PP from American Craft.

Thanks for looking.

Project 365
