BFF

For this layout I'm using Sketch #64 from Creative Scrappers. I've actually spent a lot of time thinking on what to use for the page, which pattern paper to use, which embellishment to use.. goodness, it has taken me more than 3 days to just think about that. How I wish I can just walk in a scrapbook store and get whatever that I think is needed for this page. However I managed to work with supply limitation and came out with this page.

Product used: Prima say it in crystals and Omements floraux; American Craft letter stickers; Scenic Route sumner die-cut; Lily Bee French couture; some ribbon.

A few sites that I love

I always love what Dawn did on her site, she always got beautiful cards to share. Just look at her site and you'll know what I mean. Her cards are neat! I wish I am as creative as her.

Another site that I love to drop by is Lizzy's Just us. Her site is filled with beautiful photos, uplifting posts and inspiring layout.

To bring me back to simplicity and story telling, I love to read about Ali's blog. She has been posting about her beautiful children and work with Big Picture Scrapbooking in giving out lots of classes about scrapbooking. To me, I always look out for free classes *grin*.

Pox attack

Started in doing this layout days ago and only managed to get it done yesterday. To me the hardest part is to fill the empty space which I did with swirl stamps.

Another thing is to include 3 photos in this layout and I've hide away one photo behind the right photo. Now, there were all 3 of them who got the Chicken pox, both my boys and my hubby. The worst one is my hubby whose face is still filled with spots. These happened in June and July.

"First, it was Calvin who got the bugs, then Mervin, then KF, who got it real bad. The boys just had slight fever but not KF. there were spots on their faces and bodies but not as bad as DF's. they were happy to stay home and put on Calamine lotion, but not KF. Thanks God that it wasn't H1N1 and that KF was home when it started to get bad. - 2009"

Products used: Prima Moda Collection PP and Build-A-Swirl stamp, American Craft Fashion Accent and felt letter stickers, Making Memories Paparie journal pad, My Little Shoe Box letter stickers. All these from Scrapbook Deals 4U kit.

Having fun

I had so much fun using those materials from Scrapbook Deals 4U August kits! I built these two pages in less than an hour each, that minus those times that my boys were in a fight, my dinner time and those "mommy.. come here.." time. I just felt that these two pages are fast, especially when I told myself that I wanted to use just that kit and nothing else. Another reason that the first page was fast 'cos I've got an idea on how to use those leave pattern from the forum by Mette. Thanks Mette.

And about using flower die-cut, I just couldn't be bother if it is suitable for a boy page, who set the rules anyway? Oh, by the way the title "Live out loud" is from a previous kit from Scrapbook Deals 4U too.

Product used: All pattern paper and die-cut from My Mind's Eye, stickers from Soft Spoken, American Craft, some foam adhesive and ink

On hold

I guess I'll have to put my WRMK Croner Chomper on hold again, seeing that those monthly kits over at Scrapbook Deal 4U are just hard to resist, I just had to get at least one of them. For September, Martha is offering not 2 but 5 kits!! And they all look just so delicioius. Hate it that I don't have the budget for all, else... *grin*.

I know at the mean time, I still have a bunch of left over from previous kits, won over kits and those way long ago, but still, who can say no in seeing those cute pretty papers!?

So, there goes my US$24.95 *grin*.

Celebrating love

Yup, this is a reminder for myself for I'm having two growing up kids, a hubby who is not so near physically and yet mentally here. This layout is for the rememberance of that and I wanted to keep this sweet memory of them while at play on the beach.
Am entering this for the Celebrating Love challenge over at Color Me Daisy.

In this layout, I've stamped on a tranparency and color it at the back. I did this on the umbrella stamp. It is fun!

Product used: PP from Prima Moda Collection - Lulu, Fancy Pants rub-on - the daily grind, American craft thickers, and chipboard stickers, Jilibean-soip PP - minestone, Glitz sparrow PP, Making Memories journal pade.

Oh! so fun

Yes, did a layout following the sketch challenge over in Scrapbook Deals 4U. I've been wanting to scrap these two photos of my boys taken in Tg. Aru. It is fun to have pictures such as these too. Probably there are better ways and funnier ways in shooting those round tube in the play ground.
First time ever to use that may bling in my layout, all in all 5 rhinestones :D
Journal of course the fastest way is by hand writing ;)
Journal: We don't stay close to a play-ground, so you always look out for "play-ground fun", as I always look out for "snap-shot fun".
Product used: AC ribbon, letter thickers and PP. Moda rub-on. Jilibean-soup PP. My little shoebox sugar high chipboard alphabet. Fiskar border punch. Kaiser craft rhinestone. And ric-rac.

Our family LO

I think my creative mode is back working again but not in full swing. Still have so many things to worry and think about in my mind. Here is one that being done yesterday afternoon before heading off with the boys for a walk around the neighborhood, which later Mervin deleted all those photos I've taken of them. Real bummer huh!?

These photos were taken in Shenzhen, China. It has a really nice park there that is full of Lychee trees. The boys love to go there especially on a cool day. Wish I can do that more with them - walking in the park.

Will put in the product list tomorrow. Haven't been using a lot of stuff here though. TFL.
edited: product used: Penny Lane free bird "peace" title, Lily Bee French counture PP, Bazzill Basic cardstock.
