Project 365

Goodness, I've been way behind my project 365 posting. I'm suppose to post up the article once everyday, or at least once a week, but look what I've now, stopped from day 65 (March 8th) till 88 (yesterday)!! Let me just rewind back my memory.
I'm actually thinking if I should move all these postings about project 365 to another blog...

Day 89
March 30th (Monday): 2nd day here over in Shenzhen. Not really a good night for all of us. Trying to write off this from my memory.

Day 88
March 29th (Sunday): The boys always wanted to push the lift buttons. Here they were being so loving together while waiting for the lift.

Day 87

March 28th (Saturday): On the bus in Shenzhen airport after landing. Pretty tiring flight with these boys, they were ever so active and noisy. Went out for dinner that night as a family. I wasn't pretty excited about the trip. Maybe would feel different if I were alone. But then what is a family trip without the boys?

Day 86
March 27th (Friday): Last day at school before going to China. Mer took the time to do some drawing before getting on the car to school.

Day 85
March 26th (Thursday): Breakfast with bunny. Cal took out the "mee sedap" and wanted it for breakfast.

Day 84
[no picture]
March 25th

Day 83
March 24th (Tuesday): Mer already starting to have homework from school. He is a perfectionist. He wanted his words to be written perfectly on the dot. He got frustrated if he doesn't.

Day 82
[no picture]
March 23rd (Monday)

Day 81
March 22nd (Sunday): Went to bed late after doing some a scrapbook page. Feel a bit left out if I didn't create for the day. It is actually my escape, how I whine down, how I just sit and really be with myself, how I think back on the day or those incidence that had happened, how I wanted to preserve my memories. I just love to be able to create.

Day 78-80
March 19th-21st (Thursday - Saturday): Kudat and Banggi trip. Went to Kudat to have our MBJ meeting, stayed in Marina resort and went to Banggi the next day by Ferry. Got a chance to experience the local karaoke session and the enjoyed the sea breeze. Hot and humid place. Saw the water snake going and coming back from the sea. Were in the same car with JK and Wong. Another good chance to get to know my colleagues.

Day 77
March 18th (Wednesday): Back to KK on the 2pm's flight from KLIA. Got ourselves a treat from MAS airline as we were being served Haagen-Dazs and Ferrero Rocher free! We were in a bigger plane too.

Day 75 - 76
Mary 16th (Monday): Off to Malacca for a learning trip together with Mary, Yapp, Sebastian and Chong. Went a day earlier, so we got time to go around some historical sites of Malacca. Stayed in Renaissance Melaka. Actually the best time to get to know my colleagues.
March 17th (Tuesday): Went to our study tour in Melaka State Library. After doing that we went up to Kuala Lumpur but drop by at Valerie's shop in Kajang and got myself some scrapbook stuff. Stayed in Royal Bintang that night.

Day 74
March 15th (Sunday): Went to church and dropped off in City Mall. The boys had some fun on the amusement shop. As for myself, I went back to get the book "Confession of a shopaholic".

Day 73

March 14th (Saturday): Went to the gym in Sutera again while the boys do some coloring and running in the Kiddies Club. They are pretty easy to make new friends.

Day 72
March 13(Friday): Went to stay a night in Rebecca's place as both of them were outstation leaving the kids with the maid. Me and the boys went over just to accompanied the kids and let them had some time together.

Day 71
March 12th (Thursday)

Day 70
March 11th Wednesday: Managed to snap some photos of Cal going on to his school. Was actually there 'cos he brought a book to school that the teacher had confiscated. My boys is growing so fast!

Day 69

March 10th (Tuesday): This photo actually belongs to yesterday when Rebecca and family were over to mom's place. Here, Cal looking on Chiam while she did a bit of coloring / tracing. Cal loves to draw actually. While Mer and Rody were on the bike.

Day 68
March 9th (Monday): It is a holiday today, I managed to have some time over in Sutera using the gym while the boys had a go with painting pottery in the Kiddies Club. Well, they didn't do that while I was over in the gym, rather they wait till I'm with them then only they started off with the painting. Will sure do that again, but maybe change to just coloring.

Day 67
[No Picture]
March 8th (Sun): Like always the boys get to play with their cousins.

Back to being creative

Did the layout above on Sunday night, just had to use those stuff that I got from Scrap-n-Crop recently. Aren't you just love those essential 5 flowers? I love them! And Val, I've used those swirls stamps! *Grin* Oh.. and the MM journal pack, they are just so easy to use.

This is another layout done with Color Me Daisy February monthly kit. The only thing not from the kit is the journal paper from MM. Uh.. and I did a bit of sewing on these two layout in the middle of the night!

I was actually thinking to use the song title "I love your smile" on my 2nd layout...

Buoy I'm so glad I'm home.

Long pause

How many days has past? Hmm.. I have had a tiring trip, not one but two. I went to Malacca and Kuala Lumpur from Monday till Wednesday, then to Kudat and Banggi Island from Thursday till today. First one is 100% learning trip, as for the 2nd, it is more like a community service trip after our meeting in Kudat. Will share more in my other site - Glad2bhere.

As for now, I wanted so much to share what I've done before going for the Malacca trip and on Wednesday night, but I forgot my camera's USB cable. I've actually took some time to visit Valerie over in Scrap-n-crop, got myself some scrapbook stuff from her store. So glad to have finally met her face to face! Thanks for her sister Penny, I get to browse the shop earlier before Val arrived from work.

There were just too many beautiful things in there, I have to remind myself not to get any pattern paper, I'll just have to wait for my monthly kit from Color Me Daisy and Scrapbook Deals 4 you. Still I've got some "essential" things like glue dot, chalk marker and stamp set.

While we were over in Kuala Lumpur, I didn't do much shopping. There were still some sales going on, lots of Girls' clothing, boys' clothing and for adults too. But I wasn't into getting any clothes for now, so I've just got myself some undies. Will do the shopping during my next trip to China if possible.

Signing off now, will update again next week.

Kristina's Color Inspiration #45

This colors are monochromatic, however one of my pictures came out not quite showing the dark black in the pattern paper that I'm using, probably due to the florescence light in my office. Anyway, this is what I came up with from the color inspiration over at Kristina's blog:

Using the idea of inchies again, which is easy to put together with scraps. I'm using Tinkering Ink's PP, Prima grey flower, Making Memories black brads and ribbon from HOTP.

Thanks for stopping by.

Time flies

Ya.. didn't realise I haven't been updating my blog and posting the photos for project 365 these past few days. I've been busy catching up with work. There was just too many meetings to attend, problem to be solved and preparation to be done for next week. I might not be able to update my sites next week as I'll be going away for 2 trips. So another thing is I won't be able to join in the fun of challenges too. *sigh*.

But at the mean time, here are two things to share - a card and an LO done for online challenges. Good way to get me going in using all those scrap that I normally won't think of using.

The card below is made for Mother's day, an early one with brads that I've almost forgotten. As for this layout below, it is talking about my two boys on how they have enjoyed the ABC that they've tried the first time over in Tun Fuad Park.

Both projects have used stuff from Color Me Daisy Kits. Papers from Basic Grey, Pink Paislee and Making Memories journal booklet.

Thanks for stopping by.

Kristina color challenge #44

When I first saw Kristina's color challenge, I thought to myself this would be easy for me to do. But then it has taken me quite sometime to really put this card together, 'cos I'm not sure which color to use as the primary color, so I end up using most white.

Product used: Making Memories paperpad, Basic Grey Bittersweet PP, Prima flower, Bazzill Basic just edge cardstock.

Project 365

Day 63
March 4th: Went to have a self portrait taken in City Mall, just to keep them for memory and for a layout about myself. (note: layout in the previous posting)

Day 61 - Day 62
[no photo]
March 2nd - 3th: Been busy running some errant for Fui and myself. Ever once that left the car key in the car that I'm using, so Fui can't fetch Cal from school. I had to go home all the way from work to fetch Cal and have lunch at in-laws' place. Went back to mom's place on 4th.

Day 60
March 1st: Went to Gaya Street after church and blood test in the morning. The boys are super excited about all those small creatures that they saw there.

Goodness, I've not been keeping track for this project, I think I've missed out more days that before without photo!

Did 2 in a night!

Yup, I've done two layout in a night's time! I've impressed myself even. I think it is because I've the right photos and the right sketches for them, plus I have the right kit with me! Super duper happy for that.
First one I did is about me as a scrappin' chick. So far I've only got 3 pages about me, not really a favorite subject to scrap about. But I have had fun with this page especially with the pretty pattern paper from Basic Grey Bittersweet collection which are included in the February kit of Color Me Daisy.

Another one here is a page to showcase those family photos that we've taken during the recent Chinese New Year - Love you. Another page using stuff from Color Me Daisy February kit.

Sketches are from Creative Scrapper forum. I've used Basic Grey Bittersweet PP, My mind's eye journal tag, American craft stickers, Hambly Screen Print rubon, Fancy Pants overlay.

LO and Project 365

I found this precious photo of my late grandpa after Cal took some photos out from the unusual place in the living room. This was taken by my uncle who share the age age with me! And yet he is my uncle *LOL*. I've used ColorMeDaisy February kit for this layout together with the spiral journal book from Making Memories. Will need to put in the journaling later.

Day 58

Feb 27: Day Hubby came back this evening. we went to have dinner in Grace Point. Mer wasn't so excited about daddy's present.

Day 59
Feb 28th: Went to Sutera Harbor to Meet Mr. Yap concerning our membership. Had finally decided to get one for the whole family. The boys love it over there especially the Kiddies Club and the pool. Definitely going to make full use of the membership and go back there often.
