Here is a sneak peek into Scrap-a-little March challenge, be sure to come back here for the full review and keep an eye on Helen's site for the challenge.

Origins kit from Basic Grey

Am so happy that I'm able to create a layout from the Basic Grey Origins kit from Scrapbook Deals 4U doing a scraplift challenge over at Scrapbook Deals 4U:

I used the butterflies design from MM Slice basic element 1 to create these butterflies except the little one on the left which is a rub-on:
Those clutter of flowers are from the Origins PP and stickers:
The great news is I'm going to get this kit again from Basic Grey Page of the Month. Martha from Scrapbook Deals 4U still have a few spot left for this monthly kit, do contact her at marthag69@verizon.net to secure your kit both from Basic Grey and also Scrapbook Deals 4U.

Happy scrapping!

Pencil Lines sketch 175

Did a page using Pencil Lines sketch 175, which was being introduced by Lady Grace and Iris Babao Uy, especially love their layout, so pretty. I decided to use this PP as the background after seeing it in Kristine's site. I even happier to find that I still have the Maya Road sheer scroll frame album!

I've actually used the sheer album as the backing of the photo but have put the Glitz sparrow PP behind it to create a contrast for the photo.

Have cut out some flowers from the Fancy pants PP on those part that is being covered by the photo. Jumble them together with leaves and swirl that being cut out from my lovely Slice, still love it!
Another thing that I love is the Bella Blvd Honey I'm Home cutie owl, yup, pop it up with some foam adhesive.

Another thing I like is the Webster Pages little storytellers alphabet stickers and the jumbo Pink Paislee captivating chipboard stickers. uhhh.. and those cuttie felt from basic Grey woolies are just so cute!

Go, give it a try on the sketch and do submit it to their website for a chance to get their RAK.

Happy scrapping!

Product used: Glitz sparrow PP, Fancy Pants the daily grind PP, Basic Grey woolies, Bella Blvd Honey I'm Home PP, Maya Road sheer scroll frame album, Pink Paislee captivating chipboard stickers, Webster pages little storytellers and Making Memories Slice basic 1 element design card.

1st day at school

Have made a layout base upon the above sketch by PageMaps and have tried on making two Rhonna Farrer's Rolled Fabric Flowers in my page though it is a boy page *grin*. Which later I add some buttons to make it more man-ly *LOL*.
Look at those rolled fabric flowers, they are fun to make:

Uh, and I've used my Slice to cut out an owl, yup! So fun! I've add blings on its eyes.

Head on over to Scrapbook Deals 4U and join in the challenge, you'll have fun!

Product used: Scenic Route Metropolis PP, Glitz sparrow PP, Webster pages letter stickers, Kaiser craft blings and pearls, BoBunny buttons, American Craft letter thickers, some inks, and lace.

I've got it!!

Yes! I've got my Slice!! So cool! I know I know.. after trying it out and just couldn't resist in using it to make a card out, I did this:
Yes, indeed, life is good! Have used up some scrap and did the dimensional flowers with gel medium, love it! Though I think the Pink Slice would be even better with hands-free function. Still, no regret!

Next I did this using the Scrapbook Deals 4U January kit, my belated kit actually, 'cos it only came in a week ago, right before I have my holiday. So happy to have got it.

The photo was taken on the last day of 2009, one person is not in the photo is my brother. Yup, these are my sisters and parents, awesome, right!? Uh, and I'm loving that butterfly cut out using Slice. Am already thinking to get the other two Basic Elements design cards.. *grin*.

Uh, and I gotta find out where to get that oil absorbent piece of doily paper, just love it. There are in some other sizes too!

Oh ya, another great news, I'm having Internet connection at home now, yippie!!

Product used: We R Memory Keepers layered chipboard - teenangst, Bella Blvd Honey I'm Home PP and label additions, Maya Road chipboard, Making Memories Paperi, Slice basic element 1 design card, Tattered Angels glimmer mist.

It has been

Such a long time that I didn't update my blog! Yes, it has been busy over here and I'm 90% cut off from the net as I don't have a broadband connection at home, I'm with dial-up! Now that I got a chance to use the wi-fi around town, I get to update my blog now.

I've been trying to join in the fun for the Roses are red crop challenge over at Scrapbook Deals 4U, well, I only got 3 things done. Let's just share about the layouts that I did through the challenge.

Firstly is a layout using their sketch by Kristine Davidson:
It is such an easy to follow sketch and the twist is we must have hearts in the layout. So here is what I came up with:
These are my real sisters, we do have some resemblance, right?

I ran out of vowel "e", so I've use the negative space and manage to spell the word sisters in full.
Have cut out some heart shapes and make them pop too:
Another layout that I did is to create a layout base on the menu that we chose earlier on without knowing what are the requirements about. I came up with this layout base on the things that I've chosen: - Use metal embellishment (I've used heart brad), Solid red PP, my choice of photo, journal strips, some sort of paint (I've used crackle paint), and must include heart shapes:
Isn't this little guy a cutie? Definitely a heart-breaker in the futere *LOL*.

A close-up on the heart shape using crackle paint:

Hope you also had fun in the Roses are red crop challenge.

Product used: Urban Lily die-cutting pp, Humbly print PP, Tim Holtz crackle paint and distressing tool, Fiskars border punchers, Scenic Route Loveland PP, BoBunny flutter butter PP, BoBunny buttons, some blings and ribbons.

Loving the quote

"Be you. Find you. Be happy with that." Got it from Elizabeth Kartchner's blog.

I was going through my photos recently and found this photo that I've which I've scrapped a similar photo before, and I wanted so much to play with the piece of paper that I got from Old Town Cafe (not sure what to call it), so I came out with this layout (sorry for the blur photo):
That butterfly has been in my stash for a long time which I don't dare to use it as it is just so bulky which I'm worried that it will dent my other pages. Anyhow I just used for this layout and have used foam adhesive behind it in order to protect my paper from the wire used in the butterfly.
Yup, a good reminder for myself on being me ;)

Product used: BoBunny Flutter Butter PP, Prima flowers, Urban Lily journal paper, Queen & Co. felt, Fiskar border punches and some old trim.

Truly madly deeply!

Not on me, but on game! Ha! That's my son. He is really into playing computer games especially PBS kids. Seeing here, he is playing some solitair on my notebook. If he is able, he would spend the whole day in front of that notebook.

I did this layout by using the sketch #50 of Scrapbook Deals 4U, which I've flipped.

I run out of the letter "e" but I still have some other letter than can combine together to make an "e", so this is what I did, using a "c":
Clever!?

Go over to Scrapbook Deals 4U now to try out the sketch, there is a prize to be won.

Happy scrapping!

Anyway, head on over to Helen's site to get some inspiration on the February challenge - which is to create a birthday layout with a twist to have number in the title, and do join in the fun.

My love

Did a layout using the twisted sketch : I didn't submit my entry to be included in their sisterhood, this is just out of fun after seeing the sketch and those inspiring layouts from the DT girls. Here is what I came up with:

I'm using those left over from my previous kits of Scrapbook Deals 4U since I still haven't got my January kit *bu hoo...*
Seeing here is my cutie family taken on the last day of 2009.

I've used crackle paint on the trimmed flower. Initially I actually wanted to used the thick gel, but I love the mistake *LOL*.

Journal: Yes, my love, I learn new things each & everyday from you, about you and made me know more about myself too. Thanks for being you. I'm grateful that I have you. - mom & wife. Jan 2010.

Read about this while we had our vegetarian lunch yesterday: "Be grateful of everyone, everything and at every moment." (Hope I've quoted it correctly). It makes me think, yes, really, we should be grateful of the things that we have and even those that we don't have.

Happy scrapping!

Product used: Fancy Pants Delight PP, Webster pages - little storyteller letter stickers, BoBunny flowers and button, Tim Holtz crackle paint.
