More layouts for SD4U challenge

Here are some more layouts that I did for Scrapbook Deals 4U birthday party challenges.

First is this one, a simple note from me to my boys which I've used Pencil Lines sketch #178.

What I need to include in the layout is some shine / blings and paint. I've bling on top of the page, and as for paint, I simply can't use my white acrylic paint that I have. So I tried out the crackle paint on the buttons. They look fine, aren't they? I actually love the effect.

As for another layout that I did using the PP that has long been with me and which is a RAK. I'm so glad that I can use the PP. Plus butterflies cut out by my Slice in two different sizes. Aren't they just cute? This is my 2nd DS years ago when he went to my mom's farm. Oh I miss those chubby cheeks.

I've used black pen to ink the edges of the butterflies before adhering them onto the page and put some blings on their bodies.

Oh, I'm loving those lace trim that I got from a local craft store, they simply add a little vintage touch on the layout.
Well, it is Good Friday tomorrow and it is a holiday over here, means I get to spend more time at home, hoping to do some scrapping and donut! Yes, wanna try making donut, hope it will work.

Happy scrapping and do keep Jesus in mind.

Product used (those that I can remember): Humbly Print PP, Making Memories felt flower, some doiley, Slice basic element, BoBunny buttons, Kaiser Craft bling, Prima bling.

Layouts for SD4U challenges

Am going to share about what I've done for Scrapbook Deals 4U birthday challenge.

Firstly, this is the one for things / people that I love, with scallop appearing in the LO:

This PP has been in my stash for a long time, definitely more than 2 years, and only now then I got a chance to use it. Those are some cute chipboard that I get from Scrapbook Deals 4U March kit. I've misted them with Tattered Angels' mist in brick. Have used gel medium on some of those chipboard.

The layout is pretty simple, no mating for the photos, with simple embellishment. The PP itself has got pretty motif which is good enough.

Another layout done for SD4U challenge. This time is to do a winter layout using winter element, I'm using snowflakes overlay from Humbly Print. This is quite a challenge for me 'cos we don't have winter here. And I would have thought that I don't have any winter photo, but I found one at the end. One that I've forgotten about. We were in HK for holiday at end of 2009. It was really cold and the boys need to get into their cousins' winter clothes in order to go to the Avenue of Stars.
Here is the layout using Urban Ink PP, also another kit from Scrapbook Deals 4u. I'm glad that I didn't cover the lower part of the PP, I love those white pictures.

I've cut out those snow flakes overlay and adhere them on to the page.
That's all for tonight, will post some more layouts that I did for SD4U challenge.

Happy scrapping!

Brother and sisters

Here is another layout from the result of joining challenges online. This is for Scrapbook Deals 4U grateful challenge using Pencil Lines' sketch #179.

These are my brother and sisters during a dinner date for just the 6 of us last year. Hope to do this more often.

The red scallop cardstock has been in my stash for a long time, definitely more than a year, and now only it get to be used. I got the pink ribbon from local craft store and those doily from a baking shop for the flower. Those swirls are from Slice basic element.

Those butterflies are rub-on from Basic Grey Origins kit, love them!

I had fun misting and making the doily flower.

Happy scrapping!

I am

This is an old photo of me during our annual dinner. I was wearing my Saree that I've get it tailor made in Sri Lanka years ago, it should be more than 5 years ago. Well, I still look Chinese in that Saree *LOL*.

This layout is inspired by the challenge over at Scrapbook Deals 4U and a sketch from Creative Scrappers #96.
I'm loving those doily that I got from the baking shop. Misting them away with my Tattered Angels mist in brick. And then making them into flowers, aren't they just cute!? They are pretty easy to make, just mist them, then push the center together, adhere the back with some glue and embellish the center with a button. If the center is too bulky, snip off those extra paper that have been pushed up and you'll be fine.

Oh, and I'm still loving my Slice for cutting out the butterfly which I've stamped and painted with some crackle paint. I love the effect.

Happy Tuesday!

looking back

Had so much fun over at Scrapbook Deals 4U during their 2nd birthday party recently. I get to scrap photos that I've forgotten about, I get to look at those photos and really think of anything else that I wanted my boys know. I get to look back at things.

So, I get to scrap this photo of my son back when he was still little, though he is still, but he is much taller now. This is for a challenge to use 5 flowers, living element and bling. I felt that I've distressed this layout a lot, what say ya?

Here are some more close-up detail of those layered flowers from BoBunny and felt flower stickers from Basic Grey Origins kit. Am really looking forward to the arrival of my Origins Kit again and this time is from Basic Grey themselves! I got my Origins kit first from Scrapbook Deals 4u actually.

Going to post another layout soon.
Happy Scrapping!

2 page layout about my space

Yup, another layout done for the challenge over in Scrapbook Deals 4u. This time is about myself and it needs 4 to 6 photos in a 2 page layout. So I did it! These photos doesn't even got my face in there! Haha..

I've used my Slice to make those flowers and also the gel medium to shine them all:

Love my Slice! And of course love what I have at the moment in my space, am grateful that I have such place to scrap.

Happy Scrapping!

Product used: Prima Moda PP, BoBunny Delilah PP and stickers, Honey I'm home stickers.

That look

Yup, this is the smirk that my son gave me when I ask for a photo of him before our Sunday breakfast. Just look at that, this is so him.

I've used mist in this layout for masking, then stamped some Prima swirl on before I put on those nice trim.

After that was using that rotary shape onto the layout with some rub on as the title and embellishment.
This layout is done for one of the Birthday celebration challenge over in Scrapbook Deals 4u.

Product used: SD4u Urban Ink kit.

Storage

Yup, did something new last night. Something that I've been wanting to do with my not-being-carried-around-basket. I've turned it from this:
To this:
With my unskilled sewing methods. At least now it is being filled up with bedsheets and put it in a visible place of the room. I'm loving it and I'm intending to do another one to my also not-being-carried-around-basket *wink*.

More Origins

Here are two layouts that I did over the weekend.

First, I felt cool and kind of dolly with my just out of salon hair *LOL*, that's why taken this photo while stopping in the traffic light, silly me huh? But that's the best time to take photo actually.. and I've play with Picasa and get this result from my normal color photo. This is actually done for a sketch challenge over at Creative Scrappers sketch #94

Have used Origins kit again and I've tried to use as many things as possible from the kit and yet, it is still a lot left, I still have almost one whole packet of felt embellishment.

I've used Tim Holtz crackle paint on the sticker flowers which I've adhere in cardstock.

I really want to learn how to layer my embellishment to make them more interesting, but I always ended up using just sparingly.

Another layout I did using the Origins kit and for another sketch challenge, this time is for Scrapbook Deals 4U sketch #52.

I've done a bit of stitching here, since I'm not sure what to do with the circle in the sketch and I don't want to use too many pattern paper in this layout, so I stitch!

Those swirls are from Making Memories Slice basic element card 3.

These are my 3 boys at a day out in somewhere cooler. I've ran out of "o", so I've cut part away from the number 6. Not bad huh?

I've used my crackle paint again on the flower sticker, am loving how the paint made the flower twisted up a bit.
Go have some fun with these sketch challenges, it will give you a head start on your layout and really help you do make your pages, I know they do.

Happy scrapping!

Product used: Scrapbook Deals 4u Basic Grey Origins kit.

Bad Romance?

Yup, my boys like to sing along with Lady Gaga's Bad Romance.. due to its catchy word in the beginning part, he even insisted to finish the song before getting out from the car when it was on in the radio!

So I did a layout about this based on the sketch from A Million Memories with a twist - to use song title or words of the song in the layout. Here I used part of the relics.

And also.. I've used some lollipop flowers in this layout which is for a challenge over in Scrapbook Deals 4U.
Love those paper in the Origins kit from Scrapbook Deals 4U and I'm going to get a 2nd set later from Basic Grey!! Wuhoo!!

Boys will be boys

Have done another layout using Creative Scrapper's sketch #93. It is a very simple sketch and filled with lots of possibilities. This is what I came out with using Scrapbook Deals 4U Urban Ink kit. The kit is filled with boy's stuff!

I've used Tattered Angels glimmer mist on those star chipboard and it blend well with my layout, color coordinating with my DS's jeans! Then I adhere some buttons here and there on them.

I've fully used up even my foil sticker backing on the layout! And am using one of the Soft Spoken stickers as the title.
Yup, boys will sure be boys.. Here, my DS is posing with his Transformer truck and look so proud of it.

Do check out Creative Scrapper's site for great sketches.

Happy Scrapping!

Sweet child

Did a layout using Pencil Lines sketch 176. I love butterflies, especially when I can cut them out using my Slice, so easy!

And I love to make them flutter, aren't they just adorable? Uh, and I've sewed on those ribbon after I've ruffled them up and adhered them. My DS was saying, "wah, so fast! Can I also have a go?" Ops.. I better put that sewing machine away.

I've adhered the title on the top corner but it doesn't really visible, does it? Anyway, trying my best here.
This is actually my 2nd DS who always got that mouth-closed-kind-of-smile who always say that he doesn't know how to smile. He got a cute smile actually when it is natural.

Pencil Lines sketches are awesome, should give it a try.

Happy Scrapping!
