My priority?

I think I'm having a melt-down on scrapbooking now, 'cos I've just moved away the scrap table to be our temporary dining table in the new house. Yes, the house doesn't have a dining table. And now I don't have a scrapping table over at my mom's house since we are moving out from there but maybe if the table is still there, I still could do some scrapping when I'm back there, but now, no table.

I have a strange feeling about scrapping too 'cos I'm in the middle of moving, all things are not done yet. I'm eagerly wanting to decorate my scrap area with tables and chair. Meaning now it is totally empty except the curtain! Most of my stuff are still in my mom's place. Still I'm trying to make another planner taught by Brenda. So I've got my craft knife, some pattern paper and glue with me in my in-laws' home. My in-laws' home is actually became our transition lodge.

I hope to move in by 1st January and well... finishing moving all my stuff by end of January. I will just take it slow in moving all those stuff that I have but priority will be given to the daily necessities which include my scrapping stuff *grin*. So, wish me luck!

A sneak

How was your Christmas going? Mine was busy busy busy, not about baking, not about wrapping presents but about wrapping things up to move and looking for things for the house, so time flies by quickly and soon it will be new year, and when come new year I've new assignment to do and it will be an exciting one.

First let me share a sneak on the upcoming layout that I'm going to post about and this seems to be my first sneak peek into my layout.

I just can't wait to post my layout here but just not yet. It will have to be after Helen in Scrap-a-little post up the challenge over her site then only I can post my layout here. It is a layout that I did for the upcoming challenge over Scrap-a-little. So stay tune peeps.

It is here!

Finally I've got my TV cabinet last night and I've even brought in my cross and little Christmas tree! LOL! That's the only two little things on the cabinet now. Haven't even got the TV yet and still I've applied for cable TV. Thank God that it is long enough for the living room and I still have space to put something else besides it later, maybe shelves. I know once I stay in there, I'll have lots of other stuff to put in and gradually it will grow.

Learnt how to make that paper Christmas tree from A Million Memories, it is definitely not looking as cute in their website, but at least I've got one for myself.
I wanted to decorate the house more actually. I wanted to have a huge Christmas tree there and make it more welcoming rather than the empty house with only the sofa set and TV cabinet. I'm already thinking to make a shadow box to display my layout. Just wait and see...

No I haven't

Yes, I haven't been keeping up-to-date with my "25 days till Christmas". Been busy sweeping and cleaning the house that was full of dust, in preparation to move in soon. Yes, there was so much dust on the floor and on the wall, on those sockets, switches, toilets, goodness, seems like never ending kind of cleaning work. However I think it will worth it at the end, 'cos it is my soon-to-be home anyway.

It is still empty and have just one sofa set there, nothing else other than the mop and plastic chairs that I've got. Oh, and those cleaning detergent and bleach. Definitely needed those.

I'm still going to be busy and hopefully will do some layout about the new house in January when everything has settle down.

Now, I've got one layout to share, one that is using Sketch 175 from Scrapbook Challenge, a song challenge over in Scrapbook deals 4U and some recipe from Scrap-it-lah!

The handmade embellishment are those cute ribbon flowers with buttons and am using the song by Will Smith - Just the two of us as the title and have quote from the song - "Just the two of us, we can make it if we try." Which to me is it true for me and hubby. Nothing comes easy, we need to put effort into all we do, even the day to day communication.

Have a blessed day!

Creative Scrappers and SD4U challenge

Ha! I'm trying to kill two birds with one stone, and yet really, they are two totally different kind of birds, one is using a sketch and the other is to do a layout base on two conditions: using at least 2 photos and a title that is anything but horizontal. What I mean is a sketch base on Creative Scrappers sketch #81 and Nicole December Challenge over in Scrapbook Deals 4U.

If you go over to the two places, you'll find even more inspirations from the sketch and the challenge, so go have some fun!

Here is my take:
Photos taken inside a sport shops over in China while me and hubby were doing some shopping. Since there is no winter at home, so I wouldn't have those chances to wear on any winter hat gear, so I tried out their cute hat and another is a sport hat which also I won't be wearing in normal day. Cute huh?

I've used some gel gloss on those hand cut flowers from the BoBunny Patter paper and make them shinny and harder a bit. I'm using Golden Gel Medium. I'm also using it to glue another piece of paper beneath the flower before rolling the pedals to make them 3-D. Another alternative is to use glue stick.

Those swirls are also from the same PP of the flowers, I love how the page turn out and am really glad that at least I've used this pink scallop cardstock that I got ages ago!

Hope you'll have a happy week ahead!

Product used: Bo Bunny Delilah PP, Golden Gel Medium, Fiskars scallop border punch, ops, I forgot what company is the pink love pp.

My random thoughts

Thought I should just jot down thoughts that I have during the day concerning Christmas, so here is for
25 Days till Christmas, Day 9 and 10:
- Time to share, be joyful, noel and stay peaceful.
- Should make it a point to forgive in this festive season.

(Whatever that I was thinking, these came into mind and thus these will be in my note.)

Day 11: Today our office celebrated Christmas way early. Like usual we have gift exchange and lunch together. The fun part of course is the gift exchange. We'll pick a name in the beginning of the month then get to prepare the gift secretly till today if we choose to review it. Even though that we are all belongs to different religion and believes, but we get to celebrate the joy of giving together.

I'm missing out day 8, never mind, there is no rule for this journal anyway.
Hope you have a weekend that you can look forward to.

Advice

Those kits from Scrapbook Deals 4U are just awesome! I've been using it to make pages and pages and still I have left over from previous kits. Since I'm not buying their December kit, 'cos I'm saving for something else ;), so I am still using their November kit, and don't be surprise to see even earlier kit showing here.

The one below is for a sketch challenge over the SD4U forum using Kristine D's sketch. You can read about the challenge here.

There, my take for the challenge, which I've tilted the sketch and just used one BoBunny Flutter Butter PP for this layout plus some left over of the same line scrap.

I don't even need to think of what to write for my boys, the quote that came together with the kit are just nice as their advice. And I think this lollipop flowers are appearing more and more in my layout lately, plus those distressing look. I think I've fallen in love with them. hehe..

Oh ya.. I've used those newly acquired glimmer mist from Tattered Angel. Though it is not that obvious, but the mist is definitely there at the back.

Another thing that I love is the Fiskars border punch that I bought from Scrap-n-crop, just awesome, there are so many possibilities in using it. This is one of it - as border strip.

Thanks for dropping by and do leave me some comments, love to read them.

Away and back

25 days till Christmas, Day 4-7:
- Have been over to Chinese during these few days. Met up with hubby, eat eat and eat!
- I have put up the Christmas tree with the boys the night before and nothing else being decorated. Am thinking to decorate our new house later but the plan now is to move on 25th, so I'm not sure if I have the time to do any decoration at all.

-At least I get to snap some nice decoration pics while over in China a some snap shots of us using self-timer (not going to share it here).

Thanks for dropping by and happy scrapping!

My blessings

Saw this cute sketch over in Helen's site and wanted to give it a try.

So I did this layout last night before bed. These pictures are being taken in different time and place. I group them together 'cos we seldom have family photos nowadays. Here I've tried masking (if that is the right word for it) on my butterfly using the negative of butterfly chipboard from Maya Road and glimmer mist from Tattered Angels.

Product used: BoBunny Flutter Butter PP, Tim Holtz's distressed ink, Fiskar border punch, Maya Road Chipboard, Making Memories tiny alpha, some blings, paper tag clip and flowers from Scrapbook Deals 4U kit.

25 days till Christmas, Day 2 & 3:
- Had put up the Christmas tree with the boys, they definitely love decorating it even though all the stuff are from previous year. Unfortunately I can't get the lights working.
- Have made another 2 cards.
- Am still thinking if I should get myself a Vorwerk Thermomix.
- The grill and roofs are all done and painted nicely. Like it!
- Still not much of a Christmas mood yet.

December daily

I'm still thinking if I should do a December Daily like Ali Edwards is doing. I did one last year and I can't keep up with it. Anyhow, I've started to jot down some things that happened yesterday in point form, 'cos I'm poor in sentences.

Yesterday was the first day for the 25 days till Christmas and what I can remember was that I met up with a friend and her mom, did more Christmas cards at night, received my parcel of goodies from Scrap-n-crop then straight away used the border punch for my cards, and the boys enjoyed those book reading time before bed-time, which to me is one of the ways to get them cool down and get ready for bed.

Today, I'm going to send out some of those Christmas cards that I made just so they are in time for Christmas for those far away friends.

Here are some of them, notice the border punch? Yup, it is new! *grin*
Product used: scrap from here and there including (which I remember) Basic Grey, BoBunny, Imaginisce, nkadinkado swirl stamp, Fiskar's punches, We R Memory Keeper's corner chomper, ribbon and blings.
